in law Charles Parker first established Odessa Battery, Inc as a wholesale
battery business. Though Odessa Battery, Inc. continues to provide a
much needed service to businesses throughout the entire Delmarva Peninsula,
Mr. Kushela also wanted to be able to offer the same wide selection
of batteries to every day consumers. In 2005, Mr. Kushela along with
his wife, Nancy, opened the doors of their new retail store in Selbyville,
DE. The Mason Dixon Battery Store is the only store of its kind in the
area and now offers more choices of batteries and battery related products
to the general public every day and in many cases at substantially reduced
prices.

What is your delivery range? What do you charge to deliver?
We deliver to just about every place east of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and on the Lower Eastern Shore. We are located in Selbyville Delaware near the MD-DE border and we can deliver to locations all over the Delmarva Peninsula. We service virtually all of Sussex County, Delaware which includes Selbyville, Roxana, Millville, Ocean View, Fenwick Island, Bethany Beach, Rehoboth Beach, Lewes, Long Neck, Milford, Milton, Millsboro, Georgetown, Dagsboro, Frankford, Gumboro, Delmar, Laurel, Seaford, and Bridgeville. We also deliver to locations in Kent County and New Castle County in northern Delaware.
In Worcester County, MD we deliver to most locations in or around Ocean City, Salisbury, Pocomoke, Snow Hill, Bishopville, and Berlin, as well as to most of Wicomico County, Kent County, Dorchester County, Somerset County, and Talbot County, MD. This also includes the towns of Princess Anne, Crisfield, Westover, Mardela, Mardela Springs, Fruitland, Hebron, Nanticoke, Vienna, Cambridge, and Easton, Maryland. In Virginia we will deliver to locations as far away as Chincoteague and Accomac and Northampton County. What are "Deep Cycle" Batteries? Are they the same as “Deep Charge” batteries?
Deep Cycle batteries (also referred to as Deep Charge batteries) are designed to provide a steady amount of current over a long period of time. They are most commonly used in Recreational Vehicles (RVs) and boats. They are also used in golf carts and some solar powered systems and usually have a much shorter life cycle than a typical car battery.
Car batteries, though similar in appearance, are different than deep cycle batteries because they are designed to produce a more powerful charge for shorter periods of time. Because they are used in this way, car batteries can last for years. We carry these and almost every other kind of battery… and often at discounted prices.
Can you recharge my old NiCad (Nickel-Cadmium) battery packs for cordless drills?
Only if they are still capable of accepting a charge. However, NiCad batteries sometimes die in such a way that they won't take a charge and have zero voltage. Cells in this state have reached the end of their useful life and should be replaced. We always keep a large selection of replacement NiCad batteries in stock for many popular power tools and accessories. Call or e-mail us to request more information.
